The Nominating Committee is pleased to present the 2022-2023 slate of candidates for the Board of Trustees and other positions. We will vote for the Board of Trustees and other leadership positions at the annual congregational meeting on Sunday, June 5.

*We are grateful to the Nominating Committee for the slate of officers they are bringing to the Annual Meeting to be elected. Church by-law XII.1.2 does also provide that a person may be nominated “By Petition. Ten or more members may nominate members for any congregationally-elected position by petition to the Nominating Committee at least seven days prior to an election.” If someone is interested, they must submit a petition to Nominating@uucharlottesville.org by May 28, 2022.

BOARD AT LARGE (3YR Term)
Renee Brett has been attending UUCville for 22 years and an official member for seven years.  Most recently she’s been involved in sending church invites through the Breeze system. She has been involved in Religious Education for many years including OWL and ASP advisor.  Renee enjoys participating in choir, Food Bank, CareNet and various other ad hoc committees.  She is volunteering for the Board of Trustees to utilize her leadership skills by working with others in our church and doing her part in supporting our congregation.

BOARD AT LARGE (2YR Term)
Chris Little has been a member of UUCville, along with his wife Tori and three young children, since the spring of 2019. He has served on the Interim Committee with Rev. Chris has also served on multiple non-profit boards, including Big Brothers Big Sisters (Richmond), Comfort Zone Camp, and The Richmond Forum, and is currently on the boards of Hospice of the Piedmont and Virginia Institute of Autism. In 1997, he founded a purpose-driven tech consultancy to elevate humanity in business, and led that firm for 20 years, currently on its board and in a day-to-day role focused on community service. Chris shares that he is interested in a UUCville Board position “because I believe my experience and perspectives may be helpful to the board, because I’ll enjoy the community connection, and I’ll learn a lot about UUCville and UU in general”.

NOMINATING COMMITTEE (2-year term) – (Choose 3)

Kelsey Cowger is currently finishing her term as an At-Large board member and has accepted a nomination for the nominating committee.
