Approved Board Minutes the January 25, 2023 Board of Trustees Meeting

The Board of Trustees met on January on Jan 25th via zoom.

The Board welcomed a guest to the meeting who asked that the Board consider a new mask policy of encouraging mask-wearing but not mandating it. The request, with the reasons, was sent on to the Building Use Task Force for consideration.

The Board reviewed the work in progress on the Development Goals, emphasizing Goal 1 with the upcoming cottage conversations on our mission and purpose in February and March.

The Board heard reports from Rev Leia and Rev Tim on the offerings of Adult Faith Development opportunities and the upgoing conversations to explore our evolving ministries. This is inspiring work!

An update from the Building Use Task Force: Work is underway to monitor and assess the airflow in our spaces as we navigate COVID and the flu season. The Task Force is taking into consideration the request by congregants to reconsider our masking policies in this evolving environment.

The Board passed a motion to change the section in the Personnel Policy as it relates to statements of values and intent on staff compensation.

The Board passed motions to award the work to replace the HVAC units and seal the ductwork in Summit House to Beck and Cohn and to pay for the project through a combination of funding from cash reserves and the Endowment Fund. The estimated cost of the project is $33,600.
