“Remembering Jane Crow: An Intersectional Journey”
Rev. Tim Temerson & Angela Orebaugh
Although not well known during her lifetime, Pauli Murray was a leader in the struggle for civil rights. She was also transgender at a time when gender dysphoria was seen as a mental illness and gender-affirming health care was unavailable. As we celebrate Black History Month, today’s service will explore Murray’s life through the lens of intersectionality and the many ways identity impacted Murray’s own journey and work for justice.
Sharing Joys and Sorrows
