This month we will be considering the question – “What does it mean to be a person of INVITATION?”
This is the Sunday on which our Transylvanian Unitarian kin celebrate their Thanksgiving. Our guest preacher will be the Rev. Erika Orban, an ordained Unitarian minister from Transylvania who has also served a congregation in Budapest, Hungary. In 2006-2007 Rev. Orban was the Balazs Scholar at Starr King School for the Ministry, and currently works in a special program run by the Hungarian government, working with the Hungarian communities of Washington DC and the surrounding area in community building and identity strengthening. This service included a celebration of communion in the Transylvanian Unitarian style. Many thanks to Barbara Beach for making the connections that made this service possible.
