September Social Action Collection: Living Energy Farm (sponsored by Serenity Solidarity)

We are a small, all-volunteer organization, and even a modest amount of funding makes a big difference in what we can do. Almost all of our funding goes towards solar equipment, shipping, and costs directly related to installations and educational programs.

Living Energy Farm is a community and sustainable technology development center in Louisa, VA. Since 2010, we have lived off-the-grid, demonstrating and promoting sustainable technologies that are accessible to everyone, not just the wealthy. Our focus is on affordable, durable, demand-side solutions like conservationist design, alternative energy storage (minimizing the need for expensive batteries), and direct use of solar electricity. We call our approach a Direct Drive DC Microgrid (D3M). To read Living Energy Farm’s Social Action Collection application click here
