In 2020, like many others, I found my social life, volunteer activities, and usual hobbies on hold. I’ve always loved to draw but had never had any formal training, so I decided to use this unanticipated chunk of “empty time” to enroll in an online class in realist oil painting. The class developed my powers of observation and technical skills, and also bolstered my confidence as an artist. The paintings in this exhibit are some I’ve done since finishing the class.
