PAINTINGS I MADE IN THE DARK

Tom Manto is a painter / illustrator / artist from Charlottesville, Virginia. He received his BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2022. He is a two-time recipient of the Peter Bullough Foundation Artist Residency. Manto’s work spans several disciplines, notably oil, watercolor, printmaking and bookbinding. Through these mediums he constructs imagined narratives rich in magical realism which highlight the necessity of imagination in one’s envisioning of the world.
