The UUCville Board of Trustees met this Wednesday, June 29th in person to celebrate the end of the Board term. The potluck celebration was the final meeting for outgoing Board members Breck Gastinger and Steve Brecker, and the first for incoming members Achsah Carrier and John Griffith. The Board spent time reflecting on the lessons learned this past year and acknowledging many successes. In particular, they reviewed the process leading up to the approval of the new Mission Statement and current efforts towards Stewardship – including the upcoming Volunteer ‘Job Fair’ and a new Stewardship quarterly newsletter, coming in July. Reverend Leia shared thoughts and insights from the recent UU General Assembly. Lastly, the Board prepared the ground for the upcoming year, setting a date for the Board Retreat and beginning conversations about the Strategic Planning effort for the year to come.
