The Board met on Wednesday, July 28th from 6:30 to 8:55.  Although the minutes and reports will be published once we have approved the minutes, we wished to report the highlights.

Lots of information was shared since this was the first meeting for three members (Steve Brecker, Hayley Owens and Kay Frazier) and the first “leadership” for our new President, Pam McIntire.

Most of the meeting was informative:

only 91% of pledges were fulfilled last year;
Sean needs volunteers during the month of August to paint the halls and stairways and refurbish the bulletin boards;
outlined the process to go in search for our Developmental Minister.

Decisions were made about:

receiving a gift to the Memorial Garden;
using the UUCville abbreviation in our communications;
approving the changes to the staff benefits in our Personnel Policy;
and, approving our congregation’s partnership with the People’s Coalition.
