The social action collection for July is for Back to School Bash
Every August the African American Pastors Council, Charlottesville City Schools, Albemarle County Schools, City of Promise, and the City of Charlottesville join with contributors and volunteers from a number of local churches and organizations to provide backpacks filled with grade-specific supplies to area students. Our goal is to show children and their families that the community treasures their education and wants them to arrive on the first day with the supplies they need to be ready to learn.
