Service Charges / Fees of our Donation Payment Platforms
A service charge is a fee that is subtracted from the donation and paid to the platform. There may be additional charges from the donor’s financial institution that backs their form of payment. For example; a bank may charge the donor to create an ACH bank draft in addition to the service fee charged by the platform. Some payment platforms allow the donor to cover the service charge as an option during payment. Please contact your financial institution if you have any questions regarding other charges.
Example: You donate $10 through PayPal with a service charge of 2.9% + $0.30. This means the UUC receives $9.41, and $0.59 goes to PayPal.
