Stand Up for Affordable Housing

Spring is finally here, many masks are off, and there’s joy in every flower. But the need to make an IMPACT doesn’t change with the seasons. Whether it’s cold or hot outside, too many of our neighbors still don’t have safe and affordable shelter. And your voice is vital.

IT’S TIME TO STAND UP AGAIN FOR AFFORDABLE HOUSING!

The Albemarle County Board of Supervisors is meeting on June 16 at 6pm to vote on the draft update of the county Housing Policy.

This public hearing will be our last effort to see the updated Housing Policy adopted.

Together, the UUC community can add our voices to support a positive vote — if we do, we’ll make a big IMPACT! For details on the policy and how it will help our struggling neighbors if adopted, read the excellent summary from Cville Tomorrow.

Visit this page for information on how to submit comments before the meeting, sign up to speak, or listen online or by phone. (Your presence counts–a lot!).

We can uphold the inherent worth and dignity of EVERY person in our community.

THIS IS HOW.
