Rev. Karen Foley will lead our worship service and Laura Horne will be worship weaver. Rev. Foley will speak on the topic “Prayer.” Rev. Foley is a retired UU minister from New England, now living in Charlottesville. She spoke to us in July about “Seeds of Transformation.”

The topic this Sunday will be “The soul on its knees.” Victor Hugo said that there are times when, no matter what the attitude of the body, “the soul is on its knees.” We’ll reflect on what brings the soul to its knees, and our often complicated–and sometimes growing–relationships with prayer.
