Follow the Drinking Gourd: Lessons From the Underground Railroad
Rev. Tim Temerson
As we mark Juneteenth and the end of chattel slavery in the United States, today’s service will draw wisdom and inspiration from the Underground Railroad, which aided thousands of courageous fugitive slaves and was this nation’s first truly interracial, interfaith social justice movement. Today is also a Food Sharing Sunday so please bring perishable food and cleaning supplies to assist those in our congregation whose budgets are stretched.
