Reflecting on August 2017

This Sunday we will be reflecting on the events of August 11th and 12th of 2017 in the context of today, another summer of tragic events revealing the racism inherent in our systems. Hayley Owens and Laura Horn will read excerpts from reflections they have gathered from members of this congregation about their experience on and since August 2017. We will remember this experience and hold each other in all our varied responses and feelings with the intent to move towards healing and transformation. Together, we can embrace the change that this event brings and choose to build a cathedral from the splinters of our shattering.
