The Chinese philosopher Lao Tse said something that many of us have no doubt seen printed on a refrigerator magnet. The shortest version is: “For there to be peace in the world … there must be peace in the heart.” Yet what is “peace in the heart”? Watch or read the news for even a moment and you could easily find yourself feeling pain, anger, sorrow, despair, frustration, impotence, overwhelm … but probably not a lot of peace. And in the hectic hurry of our day-to-day lives … not a lot of peace there, either. RevWik offered some reflections.
