One of the hallmarks of the UU Congregation of Charlottesville’s commitment to social justice is our monthly Social Action Collections. Every Sunday, those in the sanctuary and online are invited to make donations to a local organization or church program that is working for justice and equity here in Charlottesville and the in the wider world. Those organizations are often working with limited budgets and your generosity helps make it possible for them to do their courageous and lifesaving work.

Over the past year, our monthly collections have continued to grow. During the month of April, we raised over $6,000 for the Blue Ridge Abortion Fund (BRAF), which is our highest monthly total. In addition, UUCville is on pace to collect over $40,000 for the year, which would also be a record!
