The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Charlottesville Board of Trustees held their monthly meeting on May 25.
We had an extensive discussion of the budget for next year, and the decision making that went into what was kept in and what was trimmed. Importantly, our current budget proposal will allow us to continue to offer hybrid (live and zoom) services, felt to be important given the uncertainty surrounding COVID in our community.
The board accepted the updated Conflict Resolution document as presented by Vice President Breeden. Other topics highlighted were adult faith development and women spirituality groups. We had a thorough discussion of the charge and direction of the Building use and opening taskforce, particularly as COVID begins to take on more endemic characteristics.
We also spent a good deal of time preparing for the upcoming Annual Meeting, which will be the first meeting to be held with both in-person and by-zoom platforms. The logistical challenges of successfully carrying out this meeting were discussed.
