About 6 months ago the UUGuys decided to take on a project to give back to the church. Previously they’d power-washed and painted the cupolas outside the social hall doors. This time they decided to tackle the stairway to the lower hall at the Memorial Garden.
The Prep Work: John Nolen sanding the railings and David Shutt power-washing the patio
Looking good…
Loran Zumbrumm is all smiles as the painting gets underway.
Looking a little precarious – Gil (Grif) Griffis on the wall.
Peter Markush also helped, but somehow avoid having his picture taken.
NOT ONLY did the UUGuys sand and paint all of the railings, but they also mortared and painted the stone wall and the giant “hold back wall.” (saving the church from being washed away in Noah’s Flood, we are sure.) To make the work complete they have also painted the concrete.
WOW! Before and after.
Take a stroll and stop by to see what a beautiful space the downstairs patio is!
BIG THANKS TO THE UUGuys!
