African American Teaching Fellows works to support and develop current and prospective African American educators to serve local schools. We catalyze the teaching careers for African American educators with financial support, professional development, and a community of educators to encourage them throughout their journey. Our Fellows become invaluable role models and help prepare all young people to thrive in a diverse world.
To-date, we have supported nearly 70 African American educators in their journeys, and impacted over 2,400 students in the Charlottesville-Albemarle area.
