Child and Youth Programming Begins September 18:

Under four year-olds:

Parents with children under four are invited to use a child-friendly space in the social hall where Community Worship is streamed on a large screen. Childcare providers will be on hand if parents want to sit in the sanctuary without their children.

4 years-old through 5th Grade:

Groups meet 11:00 am – 12:15  pm on Sunday mornings at the same time as the Community Worship service.

6th – 12th Grade:

Groups meet 12:15 pm to 1:30 pm on Sunday afternoons after the Community Worship service.

DESCRIPTION OF AFTERNOON GROUPS:

Neighboring Faiths for 6th-8th graders. This class invites participants into a deeper understanding of our UU faith and values while also exploring other faith traditions in around Charlottesville (and the world) to help build bridges and understanding and well as cultural literacy.

Coming of Age “Challenge” for 9th & 10th graders. This program supports and encourages our youth in articulating their own faith and developing a greater understanding of Unitarian Universalism – while also making strong connections with peers and with adult mentors from the congregation.

Young Religious Unitarian Universalists (YRUU) for 11th & 12th graders. Our senior high youth group focuses on creating a safe and supportive community, social action initiatives, and living our UU values. They also have a lot of fun and play a mean game of badminton!

Please register your family today so that we know you want to participate!

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.

We are so excited about being together and continuing to grow with one another.

In faith and with love, Rev. Leia
