What is Breeze?

Breeze is our Church’s Software.

 

⬤ What is Breeze used for?

  • Breeze is primarily used by the ministry, staff, church leaders, and a limited number of volunteers for a variety of functions to support the life and activities of UUCville.
  • UUCville Members and Non-member Pledging Supporters can access Breeze to keep track of their own pledging and giving information.
  • Using Breeze, we have also developed a password-protected Online Members and Supporters Directory.

 

⬤ How are Members and Supporters defined?

  • Members are those individuals that have signed the Membership Book. See our Bylaws for additional information.
  • Pledging Supporters are non-members who financially support UUCVille through an annual pledge and make donations towards fulfilling that pledge.

 

⬤ What is a Breeze Profile?

  • The profile is each person’s unique page in the Breeze database.
  • Each member and each supporter has a profile in Breeze.
  • Each Breeze profile is initially created by a staff member.
  • The Breeze database is composed of the collection of profiles.

 

⬤ Who can view my profile?

  • Each person’s profile is considered confidential.
  • Church ministers, office staff, and the Board of Trustees have access to profiles. This access is necessary for them to do their jobs at UUCville.
  • Additional volunteer congregants with specific church roles (depositors, pledgeminder) also have limited access to profiles; such access is needed for these volunteer congregants to carry out their jobs.
     

⬤ Who else can view my profile?

  • Nobody else, but you can choose to make your name and contact information available to other Members and Supporters in the Breeze Online Directory.
  • This is an “opt-in” process: you must give your permission.
  • Note that no financial information is included in the Breeze Online Directory.
  • Likewise, no personal information beyond name and contact is included in the Breeze Online Directory.

 

⬤ How can I view the Breeze Online Directory?

  • To view the Breeze Online Directory from your computer, you must first become a Breeze User.
  • Only UUCVille Members and Pledging Supporters can become users.

 

⬤ How can I become a Breeze user?

  • At the beginning of October, UUCville will send email invitations to create a username and password to access Breeze.
  • Follow the instructions in the email invitation.
  • Be sure to check your Spam folder in case the email invitation was inadvertently marked as Spam by your email system.

 

⬤ What if I can’t find my email invitation or have other difficulty?

  • If you cannot find your email invitation from Breeze, send an email to the Breeze Administrator: breezea102@gmail.com
  • The Breeze Administrator will respond as soon as possible. Please be patient, as there may be several congregants that the Breeze Administrator is trying to assist.

 

⬤ What can I do in Breeze after I’ve logged on as a user?

  • Review and Edit your own Breeze Profile.
  • Review your pledges and donations to UUCville, going back several years.
  • View the Online Directory, if you have “opted in”.
    • Specific instructions for how to access the Online Directory will be sent after you have become a Breeze user.
  • Other functionalities as they are developed and come online.
