The Board of Trustees held their monthly meeting on Wednesday night. The minutes will be posted on the website once they have been submitted and approved. In the meantime, here are a few quick take-aways:
- Linda Olson Peebles informed the Board that she accepts the invitation to continue as the church’s Interim Minister for a second year.
- There are leadership opportunities opening up at the church on the Nominating Committee and Personnel Committee. If you are interested in joining these groups, or you can recommend someone to be contacted, please email Mary Beth Wiley.
- Dawn Dirks, the chairperson for the 2021 pledge drive campaign, was a guest at the meeting. She updated the Board on the pledge drive work, encouraged the Board members to make their pledges as soon as possible. She reminded everyone of the Dessert Sunday event to be held on March 7th. New musical guests are being added to the program.
- The Board also discussed the matching pledge feature of this year’s pledge drive: new pledges and increased pledge amounts will be matched by generous donations to the pledge-matching fund. All members are invited to join the circle of givers and make their first pledge or raise their pledge from last year to take advantage of this opportunity.
- DAF reported on the ongoing work on the church security system. Sean is currently monitoring traffic to find out who will need access once the new alarm system is installed.
