Many thanks to our Pledge Drive Team for the fun and successful Pledge Drive! The grand total pledged was $537,060. This terrific success is a reflection of the hard work of our Pledge Drive team and the enthusiasm and support members and friends have for UUCville.
Our Treasurer and the Finance Committee have been working hard to create a budget proposal for the 2025/2026 fiscal year based on this pledge. They will bring the proposal to the Board this month for review and we will present the finalized proposal to the congregation for approval at our Congregational Meeting on June 8. As always, we will have congregational conversations before the June meeting so everyone can review the budget and ask questions.

We always manage our finances extremely carefully and we manage to accomplish an impressive amount with our congregation’s gifts. This successful drive will allow us to expand the work from our long-range plan and continue with other priorities. Some of these items include:
- supporting our community partnerships,
- increasing our justice and equity work,
- expanding our Earth Ministry initiatives,
- continue becoming a more welcoming community,
- developing a campus plan for our grounds and buildings,
- expanding CareNet services for our congregation,
- increasing funding for building and grounds maintenance,
- aligning our staff pay and benefits with our values of fair and equitable pay,
- increasing our operating reserves, and
- reducing our debt.

In these difficult times, many UUCville groups are working hard to support us and to expand our action in the larger community. Several examples are:
- Our Fun and Friendship group facilitated a Chili and Bingo Night.
- Our Pastoral Team continues to provide much needed support.
- Through our partnership with Sin Barreras, we are operating a preschool program and providing rides.
- We have started our partnership with City of Promise and we have come together with a local family they support.
- Our Mosaic Squad is working hard to examine the resources we can bring to help in times of need. Through the UUA Side with Love public advocacy program, we are engaged in the process of Asset Mapping and in examining the Grounded, Resilient, Responsible training.
- Our Adult Faith Development classes continue to provide both avenues for maintaining our personal well being and learning to make a difference in the world.

We are already doing so much to support each other and to bring our Love in Action to the larger world. I look forward to witnessing all we are able to do with our new budget!
