May Day Protest–shuttle from UUCville

Join the UUCville Mosaic Squad for a day of protest and activism this Friday, May 1 (May Day).

You are invited to join Rev. Leia at Noon at the Free Speech Wall on the downtown mall  for singing and then marching together to Booker T. Washington Park. For those who prefer not to march, join us at Washington Park between Noon and 5 for music, food, kids activities, and community.

The Mosaic Squad will have a table with information about UUCville’s resistance work and we expect other religious communities and organizations to be present. The May Day protest is part of a national campaign to prepare for a possible general strike and all are encouraged (if possible) to refrain from working, buying, and attending school.

For those who want to attend the gathering at Washington Park, we will run a shuttle between the Edgewood Lane parking lot and Washington Park, where parking is limited. The shuttle will run between 1PM and 3PM. Meet at the Edgewood Lane entrance.

Hope to see on Friday!
