Democracy is rooted in the idea of one person, one vote. But throughout our nation’s history, access to the ballot has been restricted and denied. Today’s service will explore the struggle for voting rights, ongoing efforts to deny those rights, and what we as a congregation can do to widen access to the vote during the upcoming election and in the future. We will welcome Jennifer Richardson from UU the Vote and announce upcoming events at UUCville to mobilize voters.
