Creating Pathways from Cradle to Career

City of Promise’s goal is to make a positive impact on generational poverty and support a culture of achievement through child-centered, dual-generation initiatives in Charlottesville. City of Promise is a trusted convener of services, connecting BIPOC and low-income families and individuals to the support they need, while helping build a community school model where families, community partners, and schools work together to meet basic needs and to develop a culture of academic engagement and success. Our evidence-based approach builds empowered, self-sufficient families with pathways out of poverty.

City of Promise is one of UUCville’s community partners. UUCville volunteers are now working directly with them on their Nurturing Neighborhood project. Read more about this here. To volunteer, reach out to Rev. Tim.

A description of direct volunteer opportunities with  CoP is here: https://www.cityofpromise.org/volunteer. CoP welcome volunteers from UUCville.
