A UU Easter
Over 200 were in attendance at “The First Easter Sermon” given by Rev Tim Temerson and Rev Leia Durland-Jones, it was a delightful way to start a beautiful Easter Sunday. We were blessed to have guest pianist Alex Sug play at the Easter service. He was phenomenal! You need to catch his 8-minute Beethoven piano concerto at the end of the service when this service is posted on Youtube. Alex is a student of John Mayhood. We hope he’ll be back with us!
A great time was had by all at the Easter fun outdoor activities including the egg hunt organized by Caroline. Great big thanks to all those who helped staff the kids’ craft tables, hid the Easter eggs, set up the social hall & outside, brought food for the potluck, wo-manned and manned the kitchen, served, broke down, and cleaned up. It certainly does take a village or in our case a loving community!
How fortunate UUCville is to have Rev. Tim Temerson & Rev. Leia Durland-Jones.
We are the church of the open mind, the loving hearts, and the helping hands. Rev TIm is learning!
Rev Tim interviewing Mary Magdalene. We hear Rev. Leia’s phone is ringing off the hook with new career opportunities…
Naturally, a committee meeting had to take place! The UUGuys are taking on the painting of the downstairs courtyard walls, doors, and step rails. Thank U, Guys!
Believe it or not all the food disappeared quickly, but luckily we had plenty of desserts!
Caroline did a fantastic job of organizing an Easter morning fun for the kids and yes some of us adults!
(Left) Rev. TIm (and family) along with our wonderful congregational President Pam broke in the new picnic table the UUCville youth built for the congregation. Our youth are something special!
If you missed the Easter party, you won’t have to wait long for the next fun gathering! On Sunday (4/16/23) we will be blessing our new Rugby Road sign and celebrating UUCville’s most successful pledge drive ever! Come — Join Us — Celebrate Our Loving Community!
