RISE Foundation is education, training and development, community outreach and houses the all Black library.  The foundation will support at risk youth in the community by providing after school homework assistance and coaching them to publicly speak. We will support children in their extracurricular activities of the arts and sports. The all Black library will be a resource to the entire community by allowing books to be checked out. Young people will be able to find solace and comfort in our facility.

Every child is fed and takes food and/or snacks home with them when they are with us. We ensure every child gets Christmas if parents can’t afford it. We take care of utilities, groceries and clothes for our RISE families. We make sure to take care of the whole family.

Students travel from Charlottesville, Crozet and Harrisonburg for our summer school and weekly after school program. Our Academic Coaches primarily come from Crozet and Charlottesville and those with children volunteer their time while the child is there. This opens up dialogue for them with their children in their homes.

RISE’s mission is to give voice and Hope back to the Black Community. We’ve seen great progress in this area in the almost 4 years we have been in business. Our children are growing by leaps and bounds.
